Get to Know Us

The first organizational meeting of the Franklin County Habitat for Humanity was held in October 1996.

The first house was completed and dedicated to God's glory in September 1998.

Our first homeowners were Sonny and Teresa Dutton.

Margaret Dyal gave us office space behind her office in downtown Lavonia.

We became our own affiliate October 2000.

Monthly Board Meetings:

We currently have twelve board members serving unlimited terms. We hope that that will change and the size will increase.  We have eight honorary board members who serve at large as liasons for our cause in the community.  Each board member is expected to serve on at least one committee.
